'Botzaris'Damask, 1856, Robert
I ordered 'Botzaris' in order to have in my collection a Damask that wasn't pink.
I don't think she's quite as beautiful a flower as 'Léda,' the other white Damask I've got about the place. This might be because the plant is so very young. It's likely she'll become more full as she ages. But so far I have been impressed by the remarkable staying-power of the flower; this one has weathered marble-sized hail, pouring rain and drying winds without fuss.
This was the only flower she produced in 2007, but she did put on some decent growth so here's hoping for lots of pictures this year!
