There's something about a rose full of petals with a progression of colors from inside to outside. 'Ellen Tofflemire' was one whose picture I saw and immediately fell in love. She's just tiny and newly planted, but next year... ah, next year!
Already, however, she shows great promise. Her flowers, though not of the rich color in the picture, are strong, beautifully fragrant, and long lasting. The bush itself seems very hardy and likely to put up with anything the Colorado weather can throw at it (in a word, everything). An excellent little plant, all in all, who will no doubt grow into a superlative, large plant very quickly! Stay tuned!
